The national drink of Peru is a grape-brandy called Pisco, and the most popular drink is the Pisco Sour. After lunch on Friday, we were taken to the Tabernero Winery, where wine and Pisco are made.
We were taken around the factory and informed of the distillation process.
After the tour, it was time to taste some Pisco! Cheers to getting tilty!
I think the point was to sip it, but many chose to shoot it.
Shooting it didn’t necessarily help. I think the Pisco Sour mixed drink is the preference for this group.
Some did like it more than others.
And despite the harshness of the Pisco by itself, everyone bought something, be it a bottle for themselves, for gifts, or even the various flavors of Pisco wine coolers.
